Schedule:
These enriching weekend retreats are being offered on the 4th weekend of the month (unless otherwise noted*) with space for up to 10 women. Taking part in the full weekend day schedule provides many opportunities for self discovery, personal transformation and renewal while staying on an affordable budget. For those that want additional time for relaxation and pampering, or are traveling from out of town, let us refer you to local hotels and recommended B&B's located in the historic district of Old Colorado City or nearby Manitou Springs.
Planned retreat dates through Spring: January 23-24th February 27-28th March 20-21st* April 24-25th May 22-23rd June 26-27th SAMPLE SCHEDULE Saturday 8:30 - 9:30am: Breakfast and Registration 9:30 - 10:45am Gentle Yoga for Stress led by Mary Jo Cleaveland, RN, RYT. In this workshop, we will gently unwind the body through a series of asanas that allow pentup energy to release. Breathing practices will enhance our practice. Experience feeling inner peace and well-being. 11:00am - 12:15pm Heart Centered Living led by Myra Tovey, RN, CHTP. Description: The purpose of this training is to teach and allow an individual to grow and be able to view life from a different level of consciousness coming from the heart center. 12:15pm - 1:30pm Lunch Break with optional hike afterward. 1:30 - 5pm: Passion & Power Workshop The core workshop of every retreat where each individual is given an opportunity to share their own personal passion and develop it using the group as a catalyst. Participants receive professional and group guidance, active and focused listening, nurturing feedback, a safe space to share and an ongoing community to help continue your personal journey. Evening hours: Scheduled massages and spa services. Sunday 9am: Lite Breakfast served 9:30 - 11am:Awakening from Illusion and Finding Personal Freedom, Jan Jerome, LCSW Purpose of the Seminar: To begin to awaken to our true calling, freedom of spirit and the realization that anything is possible in this lifetime with true intention and persistence towards a goal. 11:30am – 1pm: Self care/Self Love presented by Sylvia Philpy NP, MS, RN Seminar objectives: Define Self and Self-Love and use those definitions to take action to optimize our greatest desires for wellbeing and living fully. 1pm - 2pm: Lunch 2-3:30pm:Tonglen Practice and Charcoal Techniques facilitated by Joy Brewer MA, AT Through Tonglen (a Tibetan word meaning sending and receiving) practice, we develop compassion by first befriending ourselves and our emotions. Our compassion can then extend more naturally to those we love, and even those we find difficult to understand. We will combine Tonglen sitting meditation and drawing with charcoal to make our experience of light and darkness visible. 4pm Closing Activity End your weekend with a pampering Spa service before leaving!
